I was thinking so. But things have turned recently. Most election analysts now are expecting a Liberal win (although losing the popular vote to the Conservatives).

There are reasons to doubt the polls but they could be off in any direction. And small shifts in overall vote could lead to significant swings in seats because of Canada's weird election process.

Yeah, if you check here, the Liberals and Conservatives recently switched places again.

But actually, even before that, because of the way the Liberals' support was spread out across Canada, even when the Conservatives were in the lead, the Liberals were the party most likely in projections to win the government.

It's an interesting election to watch for sure! Just 1 week left.
