I am not a senior member of this forum but here's my two cents anyway: I don't think a full passport is necessary for online applications and they never asked for it anyway. But since they gave an option to attach additional documents, I uploaded a full copy there. Sometimes when they want to check all visa stamps or other entry exit details on the passport, they want to look at all pages. Again, nothing to be alarmed in my view.
Complete passport copies are required

It might be the case unfortunately that the application will be considered incomplete

What I can suggest you to do is to send the complete passport copy with all pages via the web form so it cab ve forwarded to relevant officer https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx
I just think this would be a bit harsh since I’ve followed the online application requirements to the letter.
i also followed the guideline requirements dated June 6. So it must be a very recent requirement for paper applications.
Anyway, can I send the web form without receiving the AOR?

paper applications need full pages now
I’ve double checked my online application, it specifically said “Upload the bio page(s) of this document”. I hope therefore I’m ok. I really don’t want to wait 4 months only for them to tell me to re submit.

If the online application ask for bio pages explicitly than you should be fine.
You can do that even w/o the AoR since UCI will be mentioned

The guide is more for paper applications and not for online. There are instances where the question on the form does not align with the guide. There is also the question of whether a guide for online is needed in the first place, given that there are 'help' buttons against almost every question.

Thanks for sharing this, seems so weird to have different set of doc requirements for online and paper applications.
No wonder I was not able to find any instruction guide for the online application either

Hi all, I have a couple of general questions regarding location. We mention the location in the application tracker. Is the location same as our residential address city, or that location relfects something else? And how does location matter in application processing?

Location is the address you mention in your application is your current address.
CIC scrutinizes the application and forwards it to local office based on the location for processing

***This is my second time applying, my first paper application got send out January/18/2021 and got return on August/2021 as my immigration consultant used the outdated representative form. It took a CIC almost 7 months to return my first application -.- Now I’m trying online one, hopefully it goes smoothly this time.

Sorry you lost 8 months of valuable time only because of your immigration consultant. Did you pay the consultant? If so, did you get your money back?
