Thanks. Let’s see if I have the same experience. It’s ridiculous that I have to file a complaint just to get the ball rolling. .
If there are delays, at least be consistent. Don’t tell me 8 weeks when people are getting theirs in 4-5 weeks. It’s very easy for them to forget your file at the bottom of some pile.
We have a very expensive trip booked middle of September… and I wanted to wedge in one more trip in the summer until delta spun completely out of control… but thank god I didn’t book any tickets… for some reason I thought getting the passport will be a smooth process unlike citizenship - stupid me…
But as far as I know if you only have a few days before your trip they make an exception… but I had more than 25 days so they said - plenty of time…

I think the reason that the whole thing is so slow is because of the border reopening. Those who held onto passport renewals began their renewals and that overwhelmed the system. Another interesting fact, Passport Canada is part of IRCC so... yeah... the IRCC wait can certainly be inherited.
Hi
It was delivered on july 9th and i called today to check the status and they said they've mailed out my passport and certificate and gave me 2 tracking numbers
One shows package origin as Winnipeg and the other one as Mississauga so my guess is the passport might be in the Winnipeg one.
Just called Passport Canada, my application ended up stucking on the garantor verification process. They couldn't get a hold of my garantor. Make sure you check with your garantor on incoming calls and voicemails in case they missed any calls
Yes. Mine was 'STC' = St. Catherines office. Not sure if it matters, but you can always ask for the office location when you call them for status update.
