From my paper application. It was in the ATIP notes, CIT-Fingerprints required so I assumed I will get it for online too. I didn't expect it to align so perfectly but glad it did!
Thats excellent Pro-active planning - If you dont mind sharing the resource/Process to search/contact in case of FP request ?

I wonder what it shows into your new dashboard tracker. Background: "In Progress" probably. Would be nice to know!
I dont wanna order ATIP notes at this moment cause mine shows BG Completed already. Whats surprising that during my PR application they didnt request for FP request either.

You are right, everything is "In Progress". I had to give FP during my PR too so it honestly wasn't a surprise. If your BG is completed you are definitely past the FP requirement.

Thank you! Would you mind reiterating the question?
Your wait will be over immediately LOL
In the online testing world, what if we don't clear the test? What would the next steps be and the timelines after that?
Not being pessimistic, just wanted to know.

Oh wow!! I didnt expect that on your case. I was/am expecting a FP request since I've never been asked to give one.

I think it's the same as failing in-person test. Fail twice and you meet a citizenship officer to pass. lol

The test seems simple though, I am sure you will do fine!

Yeah. Mine is urgent processing so they just set everything in progress at once. lol. BG is criminality/security - unless both are passed it won't show complete so you are definitely good!

I hope you are right. It's slow already cause of COVID-19. Going through a non-routine route its just least expected to anyone.

Which places can we get the FP done ? Is there is a specific location only per city ?

As long as you read the book a couple of times you should be good ! You will get through

With RCMP you can walk in without appointment and I don't think there is any charge. The only caveat is you have to live in the same city and big cities like calgary or toronto don't have RCMP detachments but in neighboring cities like Chestermere. For example around Calgary. Chestermere RCMP will only do FP for residents of Chestermere.
So the alternative is commissionaires or some other private fingerprinting agency who are authorized by the mounties to submit FP to CCRTIS. They charge you anywhere between 50-80 bucks.
https://commissionaires.ca/ is one of them agencies.
Note: Don't fall for the criminal record check which Toronto PD or Calgary PD offers, they charge same and tell you it's good for immigration but it's not. They are not authorized to submit fingerprints to CCRTIS.

Thankyou so much!
From the tracker a lot of SEP -20 applicants have started getting TEST invites now in this week.

In addition to that above, you can always ask for "List of accredited fingerprinting companies" by emailing to:
[email protected] . Their reponse its pretty fast. I asked for the list in last February and received the list from them within a day.
