Well,the way it is,seem that is the only option.
Since they already did Medicals and submitted Police check,I dont think it will take long before they arrive.

All your dependants and family members must have a medical exam done to make sure they’re admissible to Canada. They must be admissible to be able to be sponsored in the future. Having inadmissible dependants might make you inadmissible for permanent residence.
