I got no idea how I received my RPRF fee request without any change in eligibility! It's so confusing
RPRF fee request doesn’t indicate Eligibility is passed. It simply means that Eligibility is ready to be assessed by a Senior Officer. Though not always, the request usually comes after an Analyst has made a recommendation on Eligibility (Recommend Pass, or Review Required). It is triggered once the Analyst marks an application as RTF (ready to finalize)
COVID has thrown some of the IRCC processes out of their usual alignment, but the above is the usual flow. If the RPRF fee is paid upfront, then the Analyst makes a note of this in their notes, and the request is waived.

Is your BG status “Your application is in progress…”? If yes, then the pattern where people passed eligibility after getting this status would no longer be valid
@morpheusmx , which kinda gives me hope since the process is now even more unpredictable in terms of having to wait like many others from 2020… let’s see..
oh, so there is a scenario like this as well. Man, everywhere ...everyone confusing updates.

Do you think it as a positive sign or we gonna wait ? But, under what circumstances, BG status changes for some is still an unanswered question.

I personally find it positive because it means we are not following a pattern which takes forever due to the “ application in progress” status. Plus, some of us are only waiting for Security and have very simple cases, so long wait does not make sense… unless security goes into the Detailed Screening (worst case scenario)
In my opinion, the second time change in Background status is a good thing! i.e., your file is being looked at by an officer possibly.
Any suggestions

They aren’t always indicative of what is happening behind the scenes, but the change you mentioned is usually linked to Criminality being completed and Security starting. You’d have to call IRCC and/or order GCMS notes to be sure.

Did you ever notice this change in BG status in your ongoing process. But, you have been holding there for so long to receive copr based on your signature.

Mine only changed once, at the start, to "We are processing your Background check"
My Criminality has been in progress since October of last year.

To the US, yes. But that’s not why it is taking so long. An officer simply hasn’t reviewed my Criminality yet. My file was last touched by an Analyst in January of this year

From what I have seen, applicants with Aor from April 2020 till October 2020 have had an unfair processing times compared to 2021 ones. Hopefully you get there soon!
My application just cancelled as they said it was incomplete. I have to apply again. Do you think it is good idea t reapply? or give it up?
