Bc status have 3 stages that has to be passed and it takes a-lot of time.

Same thing happened to me! My AOR is March 18 CEC in land! I got an update today and after the update my background check changed back to: our application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check. Then I called IRCC and they told me they are working on your file! They previously told me that criminality has been passed but when I asked she said they will update it soon! She also mentioned that the security is not started yet! Very confusing!

I have received ITA 13 Feb, and submitted on 20 Apr. My status shows, we received your application and will send you update if we need more information. My Background is in progress. My question is how long usually does it take? It mentioned 6 months on my letter and on the frumes it mention CEC usually takes 4 months. Is that correct?
I have already waited 10 months to obtain my work visa so do I again need to wait such a long time?

I do not know. It did not mention about the details? How to check the exact background check status in my account? Do I need to call the IRCC? If yes, is not too early? Given that my eligibility is still under process.

Criminality passed May 5
Background in process (info sharing,security)
Hopefully It will be done by 27 may as per TRENDS

I didn't ask them about security but I think it's already started that's why our status changed in our account. We all should be getting COPRs soon
