Hi Guys, I've received a FP request letter from CIC today for me and my spouse. Does anyone know how to get this done and if this delays the process? Not sure if people are randomly selected for this check as mostly i was expecting a test invite but this came surprisingly as an additional step. Pls help.

I never imagined that FB will become a lucky charm for CIC's process steps . Let me jump on to FB and start tweeting till all my friends till they get bored and block me as long as i get my test invite i am fine
Unfortunately we are assigned at the locations where cic workers are on leave. Now cases rising and no hope. Earlier cases reducing but nothing happened. Seems case count up or down, not mattering much anymore. The cic's worker's coin always flips correctly for them to take leave.
Confirmation bias, but more likely the latter - people on the forums not updating. There's a lot of stale entries on the sheets and if you think about it - it makes sense. People do spend time on Facebook which is where these groups are, so you're more likely to post an update as soon as you get it compared to coming here, finding your thread (after remembering what you used as your login information) and then posting. A few steps more than it would be for Facebook. As a result there are plenty of users who log in here for the first time, ask to be added to the tracker, subsequently forget about it and then just....never bother coming back to the forums again. Even I wasn't here and active on the forums from the time I landed back in September 2017 and when I was prepping to apply for citizenship around August 2020.
Whoever is admin'ing the sheet needs to take a clear stand and maybe make a 'stale entries' tab to move records from active tracking if there's been no follow-up or the user hasn't posted for a long time. I've been personally tracking down and following up with all the users for the November 2020 sheet specifically to make sure that the data isn't stale on my watch. This is also specifically why it has a 99% AOR rate (the 1% of users actually represents a single user someone whose file appears to be lost in the system and is getting their GCMS notes to conclusively answer their status). I'm also doing the same for the 'In process' folks because a lot of people aren't aware that the update happens only on eCAS and there's no e-mail, so they often never check until I prompt them to.
I think each month needs to have a proactive volunteer to follow up with people to get those updates, or the tracker effectively becomes useless due to all the stale data.
