Hello congrats for your parents being here. Quick question my moms visa office is also cpc m. How much time did it take to do background check for them in India? My moms biometrics, pcc and medical were done in dec 2019 and she wasn't asked to redo her medicals. All we are waiting is for background check to finish which is taking forever.Immigration keeps saying her background check is going on. Did you have a similar experience?would appreciate your help to help me understand this better.thanks.
My parents medical passed late December of 2019, the medical pass line vanished early December of 2020. The office is CPC-M. Parents are here under extended visitor visor.
Hopefully we both get some good news soon.
Did they ask your parents to re do the medicals. I have same timeline as yours.my mom did her medicals in dec 2019 and I haven't received any email to get medicals again due to expiry. I had asked immigration on phone and they said sometimes they reuse the same medical results so we may not even get another request.
This is a very sad question to ask but what happens if the primary applicant passes away? In my case it is my father. Does the file continue with my mother and my sister who is a dependant?

Hi Guys, just like a lot of you we received Per-arrival letter and Re-medical letter.
Is this a sign that application is close to the end now?
Or is this just another thing to get our hopes up?
Last medicals were done in Dec 2019.
Application was set Sept 2018.
once you receive confirmation that medical has been passed, some people will see decision made on their gckey/ecas account within a week, others take a little longer but definitely seems to expedite the last phase of the process

yup, still annoying that they are making people put their elderly parents and grandparents through medical twice, not to mention the cost implications all because IRCC can't seem to get their shit together.

Well and since is LVO, I am not sure if the 1 week trend will apply. Parents hold Pakistani passport which makes things a lot longer from what I have seen.
