Hi guys, I have a question and appreciate your help. My parents were approved PR visa in Oct 2020, with an expiration date of Apr 2nd 2021. However given the current pandemic situation, they decided to land at a later date which is after the expiration of the current immigration visa. Anyone knows the process to extend the immigration visa? Any additional document/process to follow? Anyone had experience on this? Appreciate it!

One of my friend’s parents’ visa/copr was expiring in August 2020 and they informed IRCC that due to pandemic her parents do not feel safe travelling now. IRCC responded back to webform that contact us when they are ready to travel.
She contacted IRCC again in Nov that parents can travel now, so IRCC extended their medical to Jan 31 and they landed here on Jan 24th.
But i think it totally depends on the visa officer, the officer may ask to re-do medical before extending the validity of visa/copr.

What does it mean by further medical information is required?
My mother is fine and healthy And in fact she cleared a medical exam here in canada in 2020. We have to do another medical exam this year and they wants us to reappear to panel physician to to additional test.
What type of additional test are they
going to perfom?
Depends on medical officer who clears exam. If they feel additional tests need to be done, you get the letter to appear again at panel physician office for further info. It could be additional XRay, sputum test, cardiology, respirology, other specialist consult.
Hello,
I have a question regarding postponing my father's biometric in New Delhi.
I had submitted a web form requesting the date to be postponed by 60 days so that my father can get his vaccine before he travels to Delhi via public transport. I have not heard anything back from IRCC and the request was submitted two weeks ago. The deadline for Biometric in two weeks now.
Were any of you in the same situation or had to postpone biometric? Due to Covid, my father is hesitant to travel.
For travellers
We strongly advise Canadians to cancel or postpone non-essential travel plans outside of Canada. Now is not the time to travel.
People who travel by air for non-essential reasons, such as vacation, will face new measures and expenses when they return to Canada.
Travellers must still provide proof of a negative COVID-19 molecular test taken within 72 hours before their scheduled departure time. In the near future, travellers will also be required to:
take a COVID-19 molecular test on arrival in Canada
stay in a hotel for 3 nights while they await the results of the COVID-19 molecular test they received on arrival
pay for their hotel, as well as all associated costs for food, cleaning and security
Travellers will still be required to complete a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
All hotels will be located near one of the 4 Canadian airports currently accepting international flights:
Vancouver International Airport
Calgary International Airport
Toronto Pearson International Airport
Montreal-Trudeau International Airport
A full list of hotels will be available shortly.
immigration of our parents is considered as family reunion which under exempt from travel restrictions and I believe they will not need to stay in hotel but quarantine at home. Input?
thnx
