I've submitted for my wife to change from study permit to work permit
Applied May 13.
Still waiting for final decision.
Hope that today or next week she will get an approval.
My work permit has been approved today including my spouse open work permit.
Application submitted on May 1st
Eligibility has been reviewed on Oct 1st.
Work permit was approved on Oct 2nd.

Any idea when do we get PPR request for Visa stamping and hard copy of new work permit in mail?
In my case, I've applied for closed work permit (ICT LMIA Exempt) extension which got approved today and my original work permit & VISA are already expired last week.

Hi Gaurav, congratulations on getting your work permit extension. I am in a similar situation, although my work permit will expire in November. Did you have to submit a new job offer with your application?
Please let me know, I am a little unsure, since technically I am still within the timeframe for which my initial work permit was issued. My employer did the LMIA exemption already and provided me with an official letter stating that the company would like to extend my work.

Hi, Yes if your employer has done LMIA exempt that means they've already submitted an offer into Employer Portal and paid compliance fee however employer must provide you written job offer letter for your WP extension application. In my case, employer had provided the same. You can check with your employer or its legal/immigration team on this. Hope this helps!

Thank you for getting back so promptly, Gaurav- that's much appreciated. Sure, perfect, I can always request that and then submit it via the Webform. Does the new job offer need to mention the time period of the extension?? Like from which date to which date, it is being offered.

can you please tell whether it was a WP applied from outside Canada or inside canada . Also can you tell me when was your biometrics done .

I had received biometric request however it was bypassed for those who're applied from/in Canada as per new policy update given by IRCC hence I've not given any biometric.
In total it took 5 months for my application.

Hello guys, i have a PR application in progress with R10 passed. So my question is it mandatory to apply bowp or my employer can file closed WP as well like it was done initially?
