My AOR is from January 6th, any idea when we will receive any update?

Are you Nov/Dec candidate and no update after AOR (in Jan)?

Finally after six months of waiting just got the AOR this morning Alhamdulillah !!! Application received : Jan 27th
AOR dated : July 28th I pray and hope everyone who is waiting gets their update soon.

It was from client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca ...you can put this email address in your safe senders list...just in case you don't miss it.

Any idea if citizenship tests will be conducted online? Oath ceremonies are being conducted via xoom meetings so fingers crossed for the tests.

Nothing has been released regarding tests. Some rumors running around that they are preparing online tests, but nothing is for sure.

Applicants that are receiving AOR now after 6-7 months of waiting have another waiting phase coming for them. There is a huge backlog for test as well. Many people that applied in 2019 are still waiting on the test invite. If IRCC goes FCFS on the test invite imagine the waiting period.

So, I checked the online status after receiving the AORs of my family. My wife who is the adult in the application package has two lines, one is AOR and the 2nd line is AOR + note that they sent the Study Package by mail. This is the same with my older son (15 years old). His status shows 2 lines. Does this mean he should study, take the exam and prepare for an interview? Do minors study and attend the exam?

Minors dont have test. The online status shows for all without recognizing it(they are not worried about updating the site) as per our previous forum posts. As you might be knowing, he would be required to take oath though.

Due to current situation, it would take time to arrange test for her. So she doesnt need to start right away preparing for test hence wait for sometime till cic figures out how to conduct tests or start conducting tests for few others.
