COPR received may 25, 2020 with date may 25 as a permanent resident.
Health card,Pr card and Sin applied with same letter received through email.

To apply for visitor extension (To stay more than 6 months in Canada),CIC site states “MUST apply at least 30 days prior to expiry date”.

From my research, I believe 30 days prior to expiry is only a suggestion. As long as applied prior to expiry date, there will be no issue.
if so, think wording on CIC is somewhat misleading.

Is my understanding correct?

I think your understanding is correct. My parents visitor visas were expiring on 3 May and we applied for extention on 22 April to maintain legal status (implied). Got a message from IRCC on 22 May that they are processing our file and will take time. In the meantime we got our passports with COPR back on this Monday. Now waiting for the landing formalities.

My parents have received their passports with COPRs this Monday. As per the instructions, we have submitted webform requesting for Landing appointment (which are suspended due to COVID19).
Where should I send email requesting for Landing PR mail as reported by a few applicants? Pls share email ID. We are in GTA.

My in laws application is in New Delhi. Do we have to provide original Police Clearance or photocopy would be fine? Please also tell if New Delhi Visa office still working, if yes then how long it will take to send medical request after submitting PCC..

Congrats. What is the email address from which you received email asking for country of residence/address? I am just asking as i don't wanna miss the email if i receive the same?
