Hi Guys,

I sponsored my wife Inland. applied on Jan 24th 2019 without the application for owp as she came to canada in work permit after marriage and that was valid until dec 22, 2019. Received additional proof of cohab request in May and no updates after that.
But then we panicked and applied for OWP online on November 23 2019 as there were no updates on PR.

Today we called IRCC to confirm the OWP application and the category. But they said we should have sent it in mail and not online.
Only the PR applicants who have AIP should have applied online. We are confused as what to do right now.
Can you guys please help on this?

Quick question, I have received the CSQ two copies, one for government, one for applicant right? Do I need to send the one for the goverment to IRCC or Quebec immigration?

If your undertaking application is accepted, a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec Selection Certificate) will be issued to the person you are sponsoring. The decision of Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration will be forwarded directly to the Canadian visa office covering the sponsored person’s country. The person you are sponsoring can then apply for permanent residence.

I am 20, Aug 2018 applicant, I have received CSQ for 1 year, I never received an email requesting to send the CSQ, and there is no updates for a long time after medical exam has been accepted, so i was wondering whether it's mandatory to send CSQ to IRCC or not.

Rest assured you don't have to send them the CSQ (unless they request for it). When the MIFI sends you the CSQ they also inform IRCC. However, as a measure of precaution, you can send a scanned copy of your CSQ to IRCC by webform (I did this. I have seen rare cases where IRCC was not made aware of CSQ issuance). This is by no means mandatory though, it's a personal choice.

We finally received our CSQ yesterday (applying for inland sponsorship PR)! I'm wondering how is the best way to apply for RAMQ now? I went online and am not sure which category my partner (who is from New-Zealand) fits in:

• Permanent resident
• Foreign national taking up residence in Québec according to certain conditions
• Foreign national in Québec as a temporary worker
• Spouse accompanying a worker or scholar
