The letter which came along with the documents, stated that the Document submitted with the application is not listed as an acceptable document. In my opinion scoring good score in Academic IELTS is difficult as well it also evaluates the proficiency of English language. Nevertheless, the application was rejected, consequently the Citizenship process has been delayed by 2 months.
Hello,
I had submitted my wife application and had attached copy of the Academic IELTS as a proof for proficiency in english language. The application has been returned back.
Please advise, can i send the same application package (returned set of application) along with a proof of proficiency in English with an alternate documents or i need to refill the citizenship form.
In my opinion, you better re-fill the form and sign for new date. Otherwise, just submit one cover letter explained why you return the application and new General IELTS. This should be acceptable as well.
No IELTS or any other language tests are required when you meet one of the following requirements. Here's what you should have read when applied (copy/paste):
You attended a secondary or post-secondary education program in English or French, either in Canada or abroad:
A degree, diploma, certificate or official transcripts from a secondary or post-secondary education program showing you studied in English or French, in Canada or abroad
Go back to the guide and read through it pls. This is THE ultimate source for that type of info instead of here. Otherwise you would later look red faced appealing to what you were advised on this resource to the officials instead of what the official guide tells you. Best of luck!
In the event when we get to do the test, someone posted this on some other forum and he scored 20/20. Thought this would be helpful: http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/
also posting it so that I remember this in my "posted conversation" when it's time to take the test. No way of losing this link
Hi everyone,
I would be very happy if you could add me to the list.

I just called IRCC and heard that they're still processing applications from August 29th. Seeing how some from September are already getting their AORs, hopefully it shouldn't be long before all of us get some good news after a very long wait.
Wishing everyone a very speedy (I don't know if I believe in this myself anymore, but oh well) citizenship process!
I sent my application through ordinary mail so not sure when they receive it...lol i think they received 10 to 11 sept because ordinary mail takes 6 to 7 business days...thanks
