Hi:
My sponsorship application (for my mother in law) is stuck In Process since October 21. I believe they send inquiry to Provincial authority (Ontario) to confirm whether myself or my parents who I sponsored in 2012 received any social assistance or not.
I am wondering if anyone in the forum is similar situation where they have already sponsored and while the sponsorship agreement is still in effect now they are applying for either their MIL or Parents. Just trying to understand how long this will take to get response from Province (Ontario).
I already supplied tax return copies and also gave permissions to look into CRA directly for my tax data.
I have the similar situation with you, but not sure if they are checking this (I guess so). It may take over 3 months or more, unfortunately. Especially in Ontario, the slowest response province......

Hi That was my question above as well, that if lose our job or change our job or get any EI/social assistance from the government do CIC track this? How did you understand that they sent inquiry to provincial authority?
@Nav_S Congratulations!!! may I ask where you parents did the medical exam? my parents's results were sent in on Oct 17, i am still waiting for an update. Thanks.

I ordered through ATIP both the option of file notes as well in/out communication. Had to do separately by paying $5 each transaction. It's 30 DAY waiting game. I will see what the GCMS brings to the issue.
I am not sure which department in the province they send the inquiry so we could knock them to find out what is their SOP on this kind of CIC requests abd ETF the requests from CIC
I'm assuming you're in Calgary? So am I and I've been waiting in process since Sep 9th. I guess it's the provincial letter they're waiting for? I'm almost at the point of ordering gcms notes.

I had tagged you yesterday, probably got mixed up with so many others posts. =) I first got the biometrics request yesterday, Nov. 4th, but nothing was changed on my ECAS. Then today I checked in the morning and my ECAS went from "app received" to "decision made" on my side and "in process" on my parents' side. When I click on it, it says my application was in process from Nov. 4th. Sorry for the confusion!
