My question is I have travel plan to go outside Canada on December15.
Do I need to inform interviewer about my travel plan during interview?I am a bit
confused about what to do,cause I have already made vacation plan and bought ticket for that.I will return Canada on January,19
I don't want to miss my oath during my trip.
Your valuable advices will be appreciated.
Hi Jahano. I am replying to your post because I did my test on Nov 1. Before the test started, the officers inside the room asked us to mention on the test paper if we have any upcoming travels. I did not have any but also - after my test, i was asked by the interviewing officer the same question. You should be okay. Just remember to let them know during / after you test.
After "In process", How does one know about the test invite and date, is it sent via email, mail or does the online status change from In process to something else?
Hello all.. anyone's application at Surrey Office, anyone got Test invite or still waiting.. I can see some Vancouver applicants already getting test invite.
You know what they say about people who assume! People come to the forum to discuss with others who have been in this situation and believe it or not, there are Immigration Consultants on this page who come and help people instead of calling CIC and queuing for 2-5 hours to talk to someone who won't give you direct answers at the best of times! Don't reply if you don't have advice to give, very simple!
Its common sense.. you can argue as much as you like.. but you need to wait till they send you an invitation for your ceremony.. You have not even written the test yet.. Moreover you will have to be on the phone to notify CIC or do the Webform.. Dont be so touchy.... lol!

ACTUALLY, its not being touchy, it is being sensitive to peoples natural anxieties! Some people (myself included) waited for 7 years (or more!) for the moment the letter comes for the oath invite. And they have to leave town for which ever reason, and don't want to miss the letter. Some people have been invited for oath the next day after their exam, some people have to wait 6 months. So me, being more experienced with this process since I have been through it and have taken my Immigration Consultant Certification, can help! Like I said, if you don't have an answer to HELP people in this process, do not. And furthermore, don't add to their anxieties with "this is common knowledge." Maybe it is for you and not others. Like I said, don't assume
Hi all, I got the test invite today (Nov 5); the test itself will be on Nov 19 - please update the sheet.
Unfortunately I won't be able to attend because I have a planned trip that conflicts with the test. I'm the organizer of the trip and I must be there (the contract is under my name, I'll need to work on logistics etc). So I will have to postpone the test.
My plan is to contact IRCC at the email address they provided, explaining the above and providing documents (flight booking, trip contract).
Do you think this is sufficient reason for postponing the test?
What new date should I expect for the test?
