Many are well into their 3rd month of waiting for AOR.

I am confused with the second point, does anyone else have this as well. In the account, the background process had started around 22nd Aug and my medicals were also updated but just saw this message that they have "started" processing the application on 30 aug ?!

Any idea ?

I'm confused by your question. They start processing whenever they start processing. Don't take the status lines in GcKey too seriously. They don't really change even after DM according to many people. The only important thing is looking for new letters posted and getting that DM.

Question is that the dates don't line up. Medical passed and background check started on 22nd and why on 30th they would bother to send a message that they have started processing it, when its already in process.

A couple pages back on this thread, folks have indicated that this is a typical update that people get in ECAS close to when a decision is made on your application.

Most applicants get Sponsor Approval before any medical or biometric requests go out, so look for that as your next step. Some people get SA quickly, others take a little longer.

I think maybe what you got is the AOR 2 which follows file transfer and medical usually. If this is the case, the local visa office it was transferred to is now processing it because they have what they need. They do criminality BGC, and PA eligibility. Regardless, any message is a good thing. Somebody is looking at your app

This page has the bulk of the discussion on the situation. I'm just repeating what I read, I haven't experienced it myself so I can't confirm, but on the tracker there are a few people from June 10 who have received a decision already, so anything is possible.

not just DM, few Indian Nationals with early June application have already got their passport back with COPR

Many early and late June has already got DM and many has got PPR and few has got COPR back.
