you will be fine, once they start reviewing your application, you will get it as same day or next weekday (Most of the times).

Hi,
In my case, my health insurance (guard me - college) has an option to purchase 6 months - 1 year of health insurance after the current one expires, for graduates. I suggest you call your health insurance or check their website to see if they offer something similar. Good luck!
