You can leave Canada after we receive your application as long as you:
keep your permanent resident (PR) status
can receive any letter mail, parcels and emails we send you after you submit your application
can reply to our letters and emails within the specified time, usually within 30 days
are available in person in Canada to attend your citizenship test (if you’re between 18 and 54 years of age), interview, and ceremony
Let us know if you plan to leave Canada for more than two weeks in a row."
So I would simply suggest to use the IRCC webform to advise them of your travelling plans and I would probably do 2-3 weeks before actually leaving.
Sent application July 22 and when I checked with the client support centre today I was told that until there is something listed online they couldn't tell me if it was recieved or not. Nothing shows up online so I guess it's a waiting game. When asked how long it takes to at least get the AOR she said about 4 weeks.

ECAS becomes active only after AOR. From the spreadsheet, we see that mid-June applicants are receiving AOR these days, the average is at 72 days after the application was received, so I would not expect you to get you AOR until the end of September.
I was thinking to get access to the spreadsheet to enter my details. If not possible, could you please enter the following?
