MR : Feb 19 2019
Medical done : 22 Feb 2019
Medical Passed : Mar 4 2019
AIP- March 6th 2019
Police Certificate Req - March 6 2019
Sent Police cert to Mexico City - March 13
Work Permit sent - March 14
Work Permit approved July 17, 2019

We got a update on the online log in page:

We sent " John Doe" correspondence on July 20, 2019. If " John Doe" has not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please have " John Doe" do so as soon as possible. Please wait until "John Doe " receives the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

Anyone know what the above pertains to?

Hi congrats!.. is your passport expired when CBSA seized it? I’m still waiting for mine.. my application is quiet as of now. But i contacted the CBSA officer who seized my passport he said that the IRCC requested it and he did’t hold my file anymore. The last he said my application is progressing nicely which makes me feel happy

Log in to your GKEY account they have requested for additional documents there should be a letter in GKEY account which you need to respond with in the dead line mentioned on the letter -

And our passport was expired as well at the time of seizure.

Oh how did you apply open working permit if its expired? I want to apply as well but i dont have valid passport as of now because they already have it and expired..

We got AIP, once you get AIP you can apply for a work permit.

I got already my aip and sponsor approval last May.. i’m trying to fill up the form for open working permit but there’s a part asking when the passport issued and expired i dont know what to put because its expired

And you have to validate the form if i’m not mistaken if i leave it blank it will not validate though.

I don't think it will be an issue you can submit a letter with the application explaining that the CBSA officer have your passport ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,have you applied for new passport ?

No i still haven’t applied because the consulate asking for old passport and i explained to them that my passport seized by the cbsa. They dont allow me to renew it

Thats what i’m worried about because i’m waiting for my application approval any moment but i still dont have valid passport another time of waiting to renew it. Its really frustrating. I really want to work while waiting for my application

I already submitted an explanation in webform. But i didn’t get the answer i want to be. Maybe good thing to do is just sit and wait at home..
