I have got invitation under OINP program,and my current CRS score is 447 ,However I will be completing my 3 year of work expierence on August 12th ,2019 (next month)
so it will boost my CRS score from 447 to 472

I have 45 days to accept OINP invitation .Even though 472 looks safe score to get ITA ,but i would like to get yours view points shall i accept OINP and follow PNP route or wait to get ITA in express entry ?

Hi there,

You should probably take a look at your profile, they typically add the additional points one month before the 3 years work experience. If your 3 years experience is supposed to complete in August, you might have already accumulated 472 points already on the express entry profile and might get an ITA in the draw next week.

I have a question.When filing my express entry profile,I stated that I would be bringing $13,000.The amount ordinarily stated for just one person coming to Canada is $12,669.
My question is, how much do I need to show in my account for PoF. Is it $13,000 as stated in my express entry profile, or $12,669 as stated by CIC?


Another question about PoF.When using FD as PoF, what do I need to show when the FD account was recently created that is,it is less than 6months old.

AFAIK you have to show what’s stated by CIC which is $12,669. Be careful if you don’t get an ITA this year and they increase the minimum funds needed as you could be disqualified automatically if the new minimum is above the amount you stated.

Hi Everyone,

I have a CRS score of 452 with NOC code as 0125. I'm applying with my spouse and we've maxed out the IELTS score.

I have no idea how to increase my points. Is it possible to get around 8 points in French? I have a basic understanding of french as I had completed A1 level.

Yes, with a B2 parallel in TEF, you can get up to 8 points. However, there is B2 high and B2 low. I got 8 points from TEF with 2 exam parts having a B2 haut and in the other 2 parts (reading and listening), I got a B2 bas. The threshold is determined by which bracket score a person's score falls into. For example, 271-312 / 313 - 425 may give a B2 score. If you score 314 in comprehension orale, that will be a b2 high. Just an example.

When I did a simulation to check what my score would have been if I had gotten a B2 high on all parts of the exam, I got a whooping 32 points! I cried...

So having done A1, you'll need to study some more and then retake the exam - whether TEF or TCF... Just aim for at least a C1, so at least, you'll get B2 high all round. Nevertheless, you are already sitting pretty with ur current CRS, so 8 points will only further boost you nicely

FDR is fine. If you are asked for proof of funds for ircc you should have account statements or gift deed whatever you used. I have seen people using only FD and no questions asked.

Will OINP general draw affect the CRS cut off scores in the coming draws? I feel that it will, because 1600 more candidate will be elevated to the 450 - 600 pool

Not that quickly. If you read the comments earlier in this group there were comments with proper calculations explaining it would take about 3-5 weeks to add those profiles in to pool with 600+ points.

I understand how you must be feeling still waiting at 451 (the same way I was waiting since February at 450), but never ever lose your hopes. It's just a temporary phase in your life and it shall pass soon.

The good part is - your birthday is falling late December, so trust me, your ITA is secure 100% with 451 score. Since now ITAs have been increased by CIC, you'll notice 3,900 ITAs also soon. You'll surely get your golden ticket before December!
