MY BG CHECK IS IN PROGRESS.

Mine is 1111 and 1 co-applicant!

I disagree. If they say X status is Pass or review required. This is the actual state of your status. Anything else they say, for example "In progress", just means that what they see is "Not assessed" and they don't have more information.

They can see if you have had any ADR and whether that document has been received. They can not tell if the agent is working on it and they can not tell what state something was in previously. Only what the status is now.

For example, I called to ask what had changed (I had a ghost update) and he said he couldn't specifically see a change. I asked for specific statuses and he told me what they were for each which is how I know my eligibility status changed. He confirmed he could not see what it was before but could see the current status only which is why he wasn't aware there was a change.

Security takes 2-12 weeks so good news coming soon.

Certainly seems that way. It's hard for anyone here to specifically appreciate but this step, more than anything, has cleared all my anxiety. I can now happily wait as long as it takes as it means someone has looked at the part of my application I was most afraid of, raised it as a concern, seen my ADR response and said "Yeah, that looks fine". Should be smooth sailing from here!

Just called IRCC .. They said that my file is being processed in the Ottawa office
eligibility & criminality is reviewed
background and security checks are on going
She also said that we should expect the final decision in 30 + days /in the processing time i.e 30th June

Hope we get the golden email soon..any case where the applicant was being told its going to take x days and received PPR earlier?? Just curious to know
