Hello, guys! I called IRCC and got the following info about my application: Eligibility - Met, Medicals - Passed, Biometrics - Completed, Background check - In process. My AOR is 14 February. What do you think, how much time should it take until the procedure finally ends?

Hi guys,

What does it mean if your file has been moved to your local office, yet eligibility still being verified and background not started...?

@legalfalcon @SithLord @Immigration_guru any thoughts?

A few applications will see eligibility passed, and then go to not started when the application is sent to the LVO. This is because the final review is done at the LVO, and the local agent may decide to conduct additional review, or identification before the eligibility is finally set to PASSED.

Guys, im getting a bit worried because my AOR is feb 10 and not only have i not gotten any updates since after biometrics, i also have not gotten request for Right of permanent residence fee . I'm worried because my employer failed to specifically mention that i am a remote worker in my employment letter. Do you think i should ask my employer for some sort of letter to mention this and send through a web form?

Don't panic, they will ask for fees when the stage comes, again no additional information required to provide till asked. They normally asks through ADR in any doubt. However order gcms notes after 120 days then take decision according to notes. At this stage just relax.

But no one in here can tell you how long you must wait... Even IRCC customer care cannot tell you that as it is solely dependent on the office working on your file.

The great news is all the worrying stuff is done and all you gotto wait is security check, which is based on purely patience as you know you have no security alerts on you. It could be done in days, to weeks, to months. Most cases are done in matter of days.

Your Eligibility is not yet passed, the agent has "recommended pass" and now the immigration officer will make it pass. Security/Background takes around 1-3 months. It depends on application to application.
