BTW for Indians National Identity document is Adhaar Card, it fulfills all defs, asked a Govt employee in India

Adhar card don't have issue or expiry date, can we leave it blank?

There is no official post by the GOI that recognizes Adhar Card as National identity Document

It depends on the results of medical examination of your parents at a later stage.......

Watch out people. We have people here who purposely respond with incorrect answer so that your application is rejected !!! If you are not sure about something please call ircc. Double check things with lawyers or consultants.

I dont want to name people who are creating confusion in the forum purposely. Just watch out everyone.

I tried mine yesterday. It was OK

Or are they going to wait until June 28 the deadline, then start processing all applications?

When does my processing time start?
Your processing time starts the day we receive your complete application and ends when we make a decision.

If you apply by mail, the processing time starts when your application arrives in our mailroom.

You can go ahead and apply if your confirmation is showing on ircc website.

If you did not receive an email

If you had successfully completed the online submission and you want to make sure you do not miss our email, please do the following:

• Check the same email account you used on the interest to sponsor form,
• Check the junk mail folder to see if the email from us is there.

If you are unsure if you’re invited to submit a complete application, please consult our online tool on our website tofind out if you were selected.

After confirming that you were invited to apply, please make sure to:

• Complete the 2019 application package,
• Include the invitation to apply,
• Pay your application fees, and
• Send us your complete application.

If you are unable to retrieve the email inviting you to apply, we ask that you include your confirmation number and a letter explaining why you are not sending the invitation letter with the application package.

Please note that your application will be returned to you if:

• It’s incomplete,
• Fees are missing,
• We receive it past the prescribed delay mentioned in your letter, or
• You weren’t chosen to apply in 2019.

Your invitation to apply cannot be transferred to someone else. For example, you cannot use the invitation to sponsor your spouse’s parents and grandparents, or give it to a friend or other family member.



Furthermore, Please note that once you have submitted your interest to sponsor form, it is not possible to retrieve the information that was submitted nor the confirmation number that was assigned to you.

This question is for all those who have their parents in Canada now. Are you guys paying the Bio-metric fees? The guide says Biometric is exempted for applicants who are physically in Canada. However some are of the opinion that the fees should be paid or else the application will be rejected. Paying fees is not a problem, but what if they ask us to do bio metrics while our parents are still in Canada? In that case they would have no choice but to go to home country to get that done. That would be a night mare to send them just for Bio metrics.
Please advise.
