Can some one help me about how to apply multiple entry visa on passport. My wife got her Work-permit on 23 Feb. We have lawyer. So, GC key login access is with the lawyer. Do I create new GC Key account and apply multiple entry.
I always wonder about something
I wonder why CIC doesn't start the background checks right after AOR? I wonder why they delay it for 3-4 months after AOR
I feel starting BGC after AOR is better for them and for us too because it gets the process faster, imagine people getting their PR in 4 months, wouldn't that be amazing?

Right?! Its like they want you to wait. I wonder how much detail they look into for the relationship. If an outland applicant can get PR in 6 months, inland should be the same after AOR

Nowadays some inland applicants are getting their PR in 6 months and CIC are getting faster (knock on wood)
But obviously some outland applicants have had a faster process (my lawyer had one client's case processed outland in 4 months)
But outland also has its cons sometimes as some VO's are very slow
Anyways I hope the process gets faster and faster by time because waiting is very stressful

I believe it's all about how busy the office is, how quick/ slow the background check goes
You are from the US right? You shouldn't be worrying too much as US applicants are usually processed fast

From what I've seen, those kind of applications had already UCI numbers so probably of applicants who studied here or had previous IEC /Worker visas so their details were already in the system and they previously supplied a lot of data which obviously would make it faster for the relevant officer to go through the applications faster.

Okay I see. Yes I am from the USA. I have been living in Canada since 2012 on study and work permits. We'll see if it is any different for me! I have been dealing with IRCC/CIC for a long time but this is much more serious!

Dont make me get so optimistic! Haha I have seen so many stories of things going wrong that I expect to be on the same timeline as everyone else!
I would not feel nice having my PR months ahead of others! But thank you, I hope it will be smooth!
It's just my GF and I dont have that much stuff with joined together so i think they'll want a relationship interview! No worrying on that but i think it will happen!
I am a Nov 26 2018 applicant. I received a RMCP finger print request from IRCC today and also noticed on the automated voice system of IRCC that “ We are processing your background check”. ( this wasn’t there till yesterday). So can our expert members advise me on the below question ? Appreciate your help and thanking you in advance for your inputs/ opinions-
1. Getting RCMP requests is a good sign or bad sign ? I have been living in Canada since September 2018.
2. I have a lot of travel history in the last 10 years including stay in 2 countries for more than 4 years in each country. I have not yet received PCC request for any of the 2 countries I lived. I had submitted PCC upfront only from my country of birth. So would I still be getting requests on the PCCs from the 2 countries I lived ?
3. In your opinion, having received the RCMP request, what stage of the processing of my application am I ? Still a long way to go ? Or Midway ? Or nearing completion ( how I wish ! )
4. If anybody has done RCMP di ger prints, can anybody suggest a reliable place to get it done in Toronto Downtown area ?
Sorry for the long msg. Thanks for all responses in advance.

they might ask you for addittional information so keep trying your best to get more joint accounts or documents showing same address for sponsor and applicant as much as you can just in case they asked for more (If they asked you for interview they'll also want to see additional information so be prepared anyways)
But hopefully you'll be fine, stay positive!
