Just a quick update for those interested, our OWP will not be provided until we receive AIP. We ran into a status issue when the application package was returned to us in September and required restoration so I assume that is the reason why.

I left a message via webform and they got back to us in 3-4 days.

December applicant here; is it normal for the "received" date to change in GC key? The dates changed for both my linked PR app and OWP. Are these the ghost updates you speak of? Just worried

I did the restoration when mine was returned and got my OWP...has your restoration been approved?

Yeah I resubmitted after the mistake I made on my PR app (missing signature) paid the restoration fee and sent it back the same day. Status was restored in January and OWP approved end of feb

Oh okay. So you submitted PR + Restoration + OWP in the end of November. I thought you had PR in, and had only the OWP returned.

They returned them both as I sent them at the same time. So I resent and they received both on Nov 29th. The OWP received date was a week before they sent it, I think that's usual though. Have you applied for restoration? What are the dates saying now?

Well I dont want to hijack the thread but was looking if anyone experienced this and if it was normal. My PR + OWP was received dec 14th and at the time of receipt my restoration was already in process. I got status renewed on January 27th 2019.

I spoke to IRCC and they said the last note on my OWP file was for the end of February so of course at that moment they could see I had valid status.

I will call again to ask for the timeline of notes( idk why I didnt ask them when I spoke to them yesterday) so I know if they were processing it. The agent said my last note says "further evaluation".

Now I cant even get onto GC key..but received date changed to like march.

That's a good idea, perhaps it was on a pile that they didn't get to? There are a few November applicants still waiting on OWPs. You're in status so should get it

Can you explain further?

We submitted the entire package in at the end of July when my C/L spouse's permit was about to expire and the application was returned to us because we were missing a signature.

I followed up on Monday and received an email on Wednesday indicating we did not meet the criteria for OWP at this time and would be processed when AIP is given. The link they provided was this: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...pecial-initiatives-pilot-project/partner.html

@Suze7982 We submitted the restoration along with the application with the OWP. To complicate matters, we had to leave the country for a medical emergency so in theory he does have status now. Unfortunately, I haven't been successful in linking the application so I can't really provide more than what than the online tool provides.
