I might be wrong, but I feel if your BGC starts early, it usually takes much longer than those whose BGC begins after receiving pre-arrival services. you can be stuck in BGC.

Hi guys
I need some advice. I hired a lawyer based in Toronto back in January. However I was not satisfied with his services so I decided to terminate my contract with him. he was supposed to return some of the payment that I had made. I provided him with my Pakistan Visa Debit card # to process the refund. He says that he made the refund and he has provided me with his POS machine receipt as well but I have not received the money. Now he's saying that the refund was processed at his end and the money has been debited from his company's account so now its not his problem and that I should deal with it on my own with my bank. I dont understand what to do because its not a small amount. How do I get it back??

I am a March 5 2018 applicant. I received a letter 21st of March 2019 saying that an interview is needed and will be scheduled within 6-12 months. Does anyone know how long approximately it will take? 6 months? 10 months? 6-12 months Is a huge date gap!

And how close to the interview will they let us know the date the interview is set up? For example will they let us know a month before? Or two months before?

My letter also stated that I would have to wait 6-12 months for my interview but they also provided me with an option to attend my interview in London UK before that. I had to reply within 7 days to inform them if I would avail the option to have my interview held in London but before I even replied to the mail I got my interview scheduled for April. They informed me only three weeks prior to the interview date. Do you have any red flags in your case?

This is my second marriage. Can you share your time line? When did they send you the letter saying that you would have to wait 6-12 months? And when is your interview scheduled for? Thank you

Your right they did mention that in the letter. Did you get a similar mail? Is the interview date confirmed with you? Please share

No, I got PFL only and I replied back to them and got pre arrival after that and now stuck in background checks, October 2017 applicant

October 2017 applicant, got pre arrival in December 2018 but background checks are going on since May 2018.

They should send application to the country where applicant is residing.

theres no efficient system of police record check here in pakistan ! thats why they dont send it here !

Im also july applicant and got pre arrival in feb 26 march got PPR

This is very frustrating bro .
There’s no system to even check where the file is stuck . And yes we are helpless

July 2017 applicants still in que. This is unusual. There must b some twist in those cases. Maybe they've married a GORI or something. Or maybe they aren't able to satisfy immigration officer.
