We r in same boat. July 18. My file transfer was on 11 dec and they started processing on 13 dec. After that silenceeeee. Did they gave u progress bar?
I am a March 5 2018 applicant. I received a letter 21st of March 2019 saying that an interview is needed and will be scheduled within 6-12 months. Does anyone know how long approximately it will take? 6 months? 10 months? 6-12 months Is a huge date gap!
And how close to the interview will they let us know the date the interview is set up? For example will they let us know a month before? Or two months before?

didn't they mention in their letter that applicant can come to London if early interview needed.
Few applicants got same type of interview letters where they were told the same 6 - 12 months...which is INSANE but they were told to come to London for an early interview...which is also soooooooo stupid but if you can make it London then try that..to avoid another 6-12 months of delay

Highest level of stupidity from LVO. I don't understand why IRCC send file to London instead of Abu Dhabi or Islamabad. All other cases r being dealt in Abu Dhabi. Pile of backlogs in LVO.

I might be wrong, but I feel if your BGC starts early, it usually takes much longer than those whose BGC begins after receiving pre-arrival services. you can be stuck in BGC.

I agree
They should send application to the country where applicant is residing.

Yes they did mention to travel to London for a faster interview. Do they help with the visa to get to London? Is it do able?
He does not have any kind of paperwork to get to London?!?!

If they give an exact date of interview in London then their is chance u might get visit visa for say couple of weeks. But u need a letter from LVO requesting Home Office (UK Immigration ) to issue u a visa for that interview. Also u need to show funds in ur account and accomodation in London. But my 8 year of experience in UK says better not try. Coz if get a refusal stamp on ur passport. That is not good.

No, LVO is not going to help you in this regard. They have clearly mentioned in their letter that it is totally upto the applicant how he get visa for the interview.

Your right they did mention that in the letter. Did you get a similar mail? Is the interview date confirmed with you? Please share
