Hi all,
A quick question to the ones that have contacted CIC through their webform about your application having exceeded the processing time. Have you received any useful information from them at all so far? It's the second time I get a response similar to "everything is fine, we will let you know as soon as there is a decision", without telling anything about what they are currently doing with the application. I just wanted to check if anyone managed to get something out of them and if so how did you word your message to get them to spill the beans.
Thanks
I am in my 21 months now. They sent me the following email:
"Please be informed that we are awaiting the results of some internal processing prior to the finalization of your application. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times. At this time, there is nothing that is required on your part. Your continued patience is greatly appreciated"

Earlier it was happening to me, I couldn't find an answer. I just waited
You can go for the GCMS notes, maybe you can get satisfied knowing the stage of you application.
I'm still within the 20 month period. That's what they're telling me so far.
The CSC account update says they're processing my background check
But the ECAS is still at received medicals

Hi guys!
In my CSQ paper it's written Hong Kong on top of the Last page, So my file is with Hong Kong visa office?
Hi all,
my processing time is approaching 20 months and I am checking the spreadsheet every day (to see if things start to move again after the resent slowdown). But as someone said earlier, there has not been a single day when someone did not mess up the spreadsheet. Either by resorting, or filtering, or deleting stuff.
There is no easy fix for this, since this is a public spreadsheet, and this happens involuntarily sometimes.
First I've started to add warning messages into the spreadsheet, but that didn't help and just filled up with the screen. So I've decided to remove them again and add a popup message every time the spreadsheet opens, reminding everyone about the fragility of this data and to not mess with it.
I've also added a new column that is filled automatically with a timestamp whenever a cell value changes. This will show us quickly when and where there has been a change. Because due the the many changes to the sheet over the years, the use of version history to see changes has become useless (very long loading times etc).
Let me know what you think. Is this usefull? What else can we implement to protect the spreadsheet?
Lastly, I encourage you to add your information to the sheet, which is here:

Cheers!

This message seems to be also sent to people in the Express Entry route. I wonder what it means.
Have you considered requesting GCMS notes?

Hi Everyone!
I went through the link here above and According to my perspective this 20 months process is till you get PR card in hand in Quebec.
It's not till you receive Visa . You may get your visa between 16th - 18th month or could be early and the last two months is for the PR card . what do you say guys?
Hi there,
Please bear in mind that this processing timeline only talks about getting Passport Request and that too it is based upon how soon they were able to process approximately 80% of the applications. It's a ballpark figure just to give you a high-level idea. It all depends on luck. Few applicants have been under processing since past 23-24 months, while a few got their Decision Made and passport request in just 15 months.
So there isn't any sort of certainty anywhere. It's all luck which matters.
Lastly, you get your PR card approximately 60 days after landing in Quebec.
Hope this helps.
My friend,
Does CIC answers refugees whom are resettling in Quebec ?
Hello dear,
I don't have the right answer for that really, but certainly once you call you will be correctly advised.
Just call them and things will be fine.

Dear ertarun 100% you are right .
Is repeat medical the new trend in federal stage? I know at least 6 people from our fb group (applicants from Philippines) repeated their medical examination. Most of their first MR was April of 2018
