Now after some time the background check starts and that usually takes from 3-6 months and sometimes longer depending on your country of citizenship and your travel history
After background check comes AIP which means they approved you and SA which means they approved the sponsor and then DM which means decision made
AIP, SA and DM come nearly at the same time
When you receive DM you get landing appointment

DM means Decision Made
You will receive a landing interview letter which states the date and time and address of interview
Everyone receives an interview invitation and everyone should attend their interview

Does anyone know how long does it take for medical to be updated on ecas/cic account? I went for medical exam on Feb 15 and haven't heard anything since. Wondering if it's normal

It took us just over 2 weeks.

Same here. Try to call automated number system and for sure you gonna hear that you passed the medical exam here is the number 18882422100 press 1 then follow the instructions be ready with your sponsor file number and your date of birth

I just had a go to see as my medical was 14th Feb, and it just quoted what's in MyCiC

It took just under 2 weeks for ours (it showed as passed online about 1-2 days after the doctor submitted it). Maybe follow-up with the doctor as well, it may just be that they haven't submitted it yet?

My husband received an email that his request for temporary residence had been approved. Is that his work permit? He's been trying to link it to his account but hasn't been able. The email also says he'll receive something in the mail. Does he need the mail package for official approval of the work permit?
