Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship 2018

Hi Friends,
I have sponsored my mother in 2018 and she finished her medicals on 20, December 2018 after that I didn't received any updated from CIC so just wondering if any one received Passport submission request for stamping or not.

Not yet. But I spoke to CIC call center agent today to confirm that I was approved and the file got transferred to Ottawa. He put in a request to have a copy of SA re-send it to me.

Around what time did you make the call? i have been trying few times (extension 2-1-3-0) but can't connect to representative at all

I'm aware of forms, PCC, Medical....is there anything additional CIC asked from you? like Parents Marriage Certificate, Education proof, Financial proof?

Yes. I got it just now. Actually this morning when i checked my GCKEY. There is a note that the profile is updated.

Still the same. The email that i got. It is dated today.

Gotcha.. that's bit different from my application

I got CIC my account and once you login it says status submitted. Once you click on Submitted it opens a new window and it says your application is under processing.

There is online tool also to check the status. It says Status - In process
But there is no second line added that we started your processing on Jan **, 2019 like it happended with some people who submitted application on august 26,2018.

Is it normal?

Hello,

My application was received in September and ECAS still reads "Application Received". Many people from Second round have that status so I think it's fine. Lets hope the status changes soon though for all.

CIC has standard documentation requirements for PGP regardless of where your parents reside.

CIC will only ask for your marriage certificate. You do not need to attach education or financial proof, as you are sponsoring them and financially responsible for them for 20 years. If your parents do no have a marriage certificate, you can have a affidavit of marriage done at a court house or notary public.
