My application was received on October 5, 2018. I was invited in the second round. ECAS still reads "application received". It has been over 4 months. Is this ok...?

Hello,

My application was received in September and ECAS still reads "Application Received". Many people from Second round have that status so I think it's fine. Lets hope the status changes soon though for all.

which province you are in (AB?). I see so far all SA are given in AB province only for round 2.

Not sure I would be so certain. You can consult a lawyer although they will likely agree to take on the case no matter what. You could also try to appeal yourself saying you hadn't realized you needed a co-signer. You'll have to weigh out your options. Where you give an option to appeal?

That might as well be an option. However, I want to check if anyone here has appealed and what type of documents they submitted. I was thinking of adding a cosigner for the appeal to prove that we are financially stable to support my parents but I am unsure if CIC would accept that.
