App received: 8th May 2018 | AOR1: 13th Jun 2018 | Med request: 21st Jun 2018 | Med passed: 27th Jun 2018 | SA: 29th Jun 2018 | AOR2: 24th Jul 2018 | Background check In process: 31st Jul 2018 | DM: 11th Jan 2019 | PPR: 17th Jan 2019
Yes it was very simple and straight forward one. However many who applied in May and June even got it in November end and December last year. So I feel it depends on which officer is looking at your file. One of my friend who applied in June and is having the same timelines like mine for Pre-arrival, DM and PPR.
It's little relief to know that we still don't have to wait for AOR2 because our ECAS does say "We started processing..." else it would again add to waiting time
My wife is here on visitor visa since about Nov., we got background check in progress update in GCKey in Nov. but 2 months later (last week) file was transferred to NDVO. So, just wondering that if PA is on visitor visa in Canada while application is in progress, does it add to any delay?

Good to know, thanks so as I estimated it is 5 to 9 months average case time for NDVO from beginning. However some lucky ones got it in 3 months FROM date of AOR2. This is my best guess. Jotsran may read here that's why I guessed yours!

Hi everyone! I am June applicant. I am thinking to make a little changes in my name on passport. . In my educational certificates my Sir name is not mentioned, but in my passport it’s there. since I am married now n my husband doesn’t have sir name either, I am thinking to work on removing sir name from my passport so tht my problem is solved for once n forever . Otherwise I always have to carry additional certificates n give explainations..
Will it effect my process n how to go about adding it in my application if I succeed in doing so. Your valuable input is much appreciated

Hey... I guess one to do it, if you have changed your name on every document which is same on all of them, scan all the documents and use “web form” to provide all the information with you applicantion number and attach all the documents and send them.
I don’t know if it would effect your application process. Although it shouldn’t as long as you provide them all the scanned documents with your name changed (in colour).
App received May 7.
Medical passed on 25 July
Additional documents provided twice in August and January.
Background check started in September and file transfer on 8 October

I got pre arrival on 17th Nov and DM on 24th Dec. that’s the longest you can expect to wait otherwise anytime around 1-2 weeks. Rest all depends on visa office.
