Are there any may applicants still waiting for DM or PPR? I am just curious because I am one of them and not sure if there is anything wrong with my application or should I be mailing NDVO for an update?

My Friend applied in April and she got her pre arival few days ago..

My consultant informed me today that my file is already in NDVO since Nov 2 and they started processing on Nov 13

They might or might not have actually started processing it. The line that you are reading on ECAS is mainly to say that they have received your application. However, I hope that they have actually started working on your file, as I have a similar situation like your’s. ECAS says that they have started processing on our file as well.

Question:

If you sponsored in the past, ended up being seperated and divorced and all sudden you find out after seperation that the sponsored spouse is collecting Social Assistance... now few years after you move on in life and decide to sponsor someone else, are you automatically disqualified from sponsoring again? I’m pretty sure you can sponsor again right as long as the Social Assistance money collected is paid back in full. Anyone have any knowledge in this? I’m pretty sure NDVO or Canadian government cannot stop you from marrying another person in India and sponsoring again regardless.
