Wow, congrats! When did your wife get Pre-arrival cause my wife got pre-arrival on Dec 18, 2018 and still no updates. My wife's application was received on April 19, 2018.
How many months are considered late for birth registration by cic?
Want to sponsor my wife from india. She was born in feb and birth registered in may same year, shall i consider it registered late and add other original docs as additional proofs or 4 months gap will not be considered registered late?
I heard people registered late after 40 years and was accepted. A relative in India she acquired legally a Late registration at the age of 40+ and nothing was questioned. It was 20 years back , may be they changed rules now. My wife had no Birth Cert. But I sent all her school certificates , so far so good.
Pre-arrival is like : OK fellow you are accepted! Welcome to Canada, here are few services ONLY for a new comer like you. One can ignore all invitations . But rest assured it is a Green Signal rest is up to the train when they move it.
My answer is yes ..submit whatevr proof you can as per checklist
Check with birth and death registration office for your state taht how many days is considered late but I think it’s the same for every state which is within 21 days of birth so anything later than that is late
My husbands was only 10 days after his birth but still we did submit evrything and an affidavit of self declaration
Birth certificate is a very imp document so I submitted evrything with our app to avoid any further delays later in process
So I strongly recommend yes submit evry additional valid proof you can
I agree submitting as many proofs is always a good idea but my problem is i don't have multiple original school certificates and i don't want send the one i have and sit empty handed after that.

You don’t need to submit original of any document unless asked for and even in that very case they return the originals after the process
But if original is not specifically asked for just send copy or better yet send certified copy of that document ... and if you feel somehow you arnt able to submit a document for some reason just attach a explanation letter explaining your situation and why you can’t submit that document and apart from that submit whatevr you can which is relevant as I mentioned we also did an affidavit of self declaration of dob by Pa
Hey guys, my wife and I are planning our next steps. Situation is this: My wife's application was received on April 19, 2018. Last update was Pre-arrival invitation on Dec 18, 2018 and no updates yet. My wife has tourist visa and she was here with me for about 5 months in 2018. She is in Delhi at the moment. We are thinking of 2 options:
1. She can come to Canada on her tourist visa. If she gets the call for PR, then we can go out of Canada and then re-enter to complete landing for her PR. But then can she submit her passport for PR Visa stamp while she is here in Canada?
OR
2. She can continue to wait for PR while she is in India (but then we dont know how much longer it will take and our first year anniversary is coming up in March so we definitely want to be together!!!).
Any thoughts/comments/feedback/tips would be very helpful...
