Hey guys, my wife got an email and it has about Pre-Arrival services. They had sent my wife's application to New Delhi on July 24, 2018. Do you know what are the next steps from here? I'm assuming getting Pre-Arrival services letter is a good sign?

I heard from somebody that we should both get new passports with spouse names updated, is that right?

My name is still same on my passport. It's not mandatory. None of us have each others name on passport. There are so many other proofs to show the geniuness of marriage.

Yes you need to update spouse name on your Wife's passport, i have also reissued my passport mentioning my spouse name.

It is mandatory for her to mention the spouse name on her passport because she is primary applicant and you are sponsoring her, not required for you to update her name on your passport.

It's not mandatory anywhere by Canadian immigration just attach the updated other documents with spouse name on them
