14 months of my application so far. Pre-arrival letter, was received 4 months ago. And now Medical has expired as well.
Stuck in background checks(as per GCKey) since 4 months. :’(
Dont worry these things take time. my friend has to do medical twice and they gave him 2 months before the expiry of second medical so it took 2 years and 10 months just for last step .... its all different case to case basis ... another friend is still waiting one time medical is already expired .... with the passage of time due to the situation in Pakistan legal documentation where you can make fake things easily... therefore they take time in these steps.
Guys, my fiancee is planning on applying for a Canadian Visit Visa. As her passport is expiring, she also plans on renewing it before applying.
Is it a good idea for her to:
a) renew her passport before our nikkah? it will have her fathers name instead of mine as husband
b) apply for a Canadian Visitor Visa before the nikkah and before I apply for her PR?
Will her visit visa (if she gets it) stay valid throughout her process for PR?
if its not urgent... it would be better to renew passport after nikkah with your name as after marriage the passport need to be with husband name if she is applying as your wife

Well, she wants to apply for a visit visa to canada, that's why she wants to get her passport renewed. We will get her CNIC changed after the nikkah. Does it create any issues with IRCC if she doesn't modify her passport to include my name?

Kazem, if she applied visit visa before marriage and it got accepted then its fine, and it will be valid even during Spousal visa process
but if the visit visa got rejected then it could be a red flag

it is preferable to add husband name in cnic and also change status to married, wife name can stay the same as before

Ok I understand man, thanks! What do you think is recommended? She's applying for a US and Canada visa together as she has a sister in the US who she plans to visit over the summer.
Also, no issues with the passport renewal right?

I dont think, passport with husband name is requirement, CNIC should have husband name and status changed to married.
For visit visa, if she gets it approved no problem but if it gets rejected then just be ready to declare it in the forms and with reason to apply, because LVO agents can raise concern about it.
Usually, Wife as PA cases dont have issue in spousal cases. else its all about luck
July 2017 applicant, tortured due to LVO laziness and unpredictable way of working.
My case was simple, first marriage for both, not a big age difference, wife stayed in pakistan for 4 months after marriage, NO travel history to any country even for a week and a baby was also born during this process but after taking 14 months to give pre arrival now stuck again in background check since october. Feels so helpless with LVO
I'm sorry, I don't understand. What do you mean by data of file? I mean which data?
Hey it's "date" not data.

Oh my God. Now I am freaking out...
I feel for that couple, waiting for such a long time is so saddening.
May Allah make this easy for me and many others out there with the same case as mine. Aameen!
Every time, I sign in to my GCKey account, that lil hope left inside me, makes me wish to see decision made/letter of PR, but I end up signing out that ‘when it is best for me, it will happen (InshaAllah)’
