Hi, since year of birth are okay in both international passport and birth certificate, a simple affidavit explaining the birth date in WAEC certificate is an error will suffice. All the best.

I don't think you need to submit your WAEC certificate for EE. Does the same error appear on transcripts of your post-secondary education?

Nope, transcript is ok with the correct age
WAEC certificate will be only be necessary if you are getting ECA done with WES. It's a requirement for them now for Nigerian applicants and with the affidavit (to whom it may concern), you'll be fine. If you are going with any other credential evaluation agency for ECA, you may not need the WAEC certificate.

Hello,
I recently started my WES application and for the WAEC they requested I send an unscratched WAEC scratch card them. Does it mean I do not need to go to WAEC for verification again?
I seems it is the latest format.
Pls if you have any contributions to this kindly share.
Thanks
Hello, please if the HR personnel is not available to reference a person, can a line manager/supervisor issue a reference letter? In what format will it take? What other documents will the supervisor need to attach to show authenticity of the reference letter.

Hi, the reference letter is best obtained from the HR personnel of your organization but you may also obtain from your supervisor/line manager according to the internal HR policies of your organization covering issuance or reference. In some organisations, supervisors/line managers are not permitted to provide official reference for employees except in their personal capacity so please do what is covered in your organization so that if the reference letter is later reconfirmed by IRCC/your Visa Office, there won't be issues.
The following will address the format and other documents per employment reference. You may include copies of employment/contract letter and recent payslips if available.
Document requirements
- The personalized document checklist in applicants’ online account prompts the applicant with an upload field for each work experience declared.
- At the completeness check, the processing office determines only whether the required documents are included. The validity or fraudulence of the information is assessed only if and when the application is placed into processing.
The following documents are
mandatory for each work experience declared:
- a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
- should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number and email address], and the name, title and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
- should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits; and
- if the applicant is self-employed, articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience).

Tanx.
