Even I applied through a lawyer, and I was still able to link PR card in my personal account. Just enter place of birth as indicated on the passport(include captial letters, space, commas etc.)Even I initially had trouble linking card.

It generally takes 4 business days for Canada post to deliver out of province mails. But It could be affected due to the backlogs.

Just now, I linked all of my family members applications. Application numbers are starting with R*********..
I used place of birth as -it-is in Passport.

You meant the same cic account for us to check the status of our whole application process? There are not any update since I got my ppr 3 months ago...at that time it was shown "approved", all messages read, but now it is still the same...

Is there a separate cic account individually for checking the status of PR card?

It's the same CIC account, but you need to add your PR Card application to your CIC account. There's a link there called "link existing application" or something like that.

I landed on Oct 5th at Toronto and now my status is submitted with no message. Is this considered normal or should I call them?

I asked this because when I did the landing procedure the official told me I shall received by mail in 6-8 weeks, which means I should receive the card by the end of week...

Thats the biggest lie....u wont get it so soon.. right now they are processin somewhere in dates of 22 sep to 25 sep.. in production...
