Hi,

I have landed to Canada with my wife. I linked both PR applications in CIC.

My wife landed Nov 11th - her status says Pending Registration...
I landed Nov 24th - my status says submitted.

What does pending registration means?

What does pending registration means?

Pending Registration lasts only for moments after you link the application to your account. Try logging in again if you have just linked the applications.

I landed on 14th October'18 at Pearson Airport. Officer said I will receive PR card approximately in 47 days (as per processing time on that day I guess). Canada Post strike wasn't in effect during those dates. Although, I linked my account, I don't see any ghosts showing up in there.
I will call up CIC around 1st dec to check the status of the card. I believe there is an opportunity for CIC to make the process smoother by issuing the PR cards directly at service Canada.

Although, applying for PRTD may add some to treasury, Issuing PR cards would avoid inconvenience to majority of the families who intend to travel. If service Canada takes up the PR card thing, it can also charge for pictures and issue cards in 7-15 days. I have seen they are very efficient in their other processes. CIC also has the opportunity to make PR card issuance at premium charge, this should be done during landing.

I landed on Oct 5th at Toronto and still have not got my PR card.

How can we check the status of our PR card? In ecas? In cic account?

I saw that many people got ghost update before they receive card, but where is that ghost update?

The ghost updates are not a mandatory thing and more of a system glitch. It won't show up for everyone.

Don't worry you are not behind the others. People from Sept are still waiting for updates.

You meant the same cic account for us to check the status of our whole application process? There are not any update since I got my ppr 3 months ago...at that time it was shown "approved", all messages read, but now it is still the same...

Is there a separate cic account individually for checking the status of PR card?

I landed on 21st September and my application was approved on 21st November. I guess they dispatched my PR card on the same day, and I hope to see my PR card in my mailbox sometime this week. Hang on and your card should be approved soon.

I just checked my application got approved. Now the thing is we are a family of 4, my younger son's and my application got approved where as my spouse's and my elder son's applications are still in process. I called IRCC few days back and all our applications went for production together on the same date so why their application has not yet been approved? anyone faced similar situation?
