Sent letters, webform, call almost evry other day and still the same response "waiting for background check". The most recent call i was informed that background check is completed and now waiting to schedule the test but didn't hear back..

Throughout the whole year i kept hearing "still within 12 months". Interested to hear what they will say after the 12 months are over

From what I have read in this forum in past posts, what happens in apps like yours is, they schedule you for a test and then next day schedule you in for Oath,,,,so they can justify their within 12 month pitch

Ive sent my documents for citizenship on April 15 and received the confirmation email (no letter in the mail) checked online status and it says “in process” since July 24th. Application received October 19, 2017 and no invitation to write the test yet.

hi after 12 months you can contact your local MP office give your information he or she will contact the immigration officer and try to speed your case

usually now they contact by email only for everything... if your case file is complete in term of all documents they will review your case after getting clearance from all fedrel and provincial departments like exit entry from the ports, police, justice department, taxation and other they will send you email for test date which will be normally within 15 days period

I found out that the average here, especially for Scarborough applicants is 4-5 months...mainly 5 months.

hmm ... thanks... my test came nearly after 10 months ... still they will take 4 to 5 months for Oath... because whole process need to be finish within 12 months generally?

Done that long ago. Local MP was told nothing could be done u until background checks are completed

Thats what the call center agent said happens often too.. let's hope that's what happens with me

When it says "we have sent you correspondence" - call IRCC and ask them what it is, and they will most probably tell you that it is a fingerprint request. Go get your fingerprints done. After a few weeks or so, you'll get the test invite.

Yes you're right. I mean if it takes around 12 months and no news still, you can contact them to speed up..hopefully they will contact you before

I had my test on July 11 (at Scarborough) and I'm still waiting for oath.
So, my guess is 3-5 months.

I received DM on March 4th. I received oath last week. There really is no magic number.
