Ok so here is a girl who has MPHIL degree and just wants to escape out of Pakistan, and this guy who has only done his school is her perfect getaway, there is no way in hell she is gonna stay with him. She is always gonna know she has a better education and she can find anyone, she is just doing this to get a visa.

I think thats what the interviewer would have thought.

But AHC summed it up. Just appeal and inshallah you'll find success

they wrote in my notes that i ordered when i found out about the interview that we both have compatible educations .. they called us in the interview because my first marriage ended up in a divorce, so they wanted to make sure the 2nd one wasn't against my will .. i.e. force marriage .. aisay ghoma phira kay sawal kiya thay meray mia say, touba! but hey, it's for our security too right!

for those wondering, GCKEY did not update until they actually stamped the passport with the visa. so gckey kept saying eligibility in progress and bgc in progress until the day the embassy stamped the visa and sent back the passport.

2nd thing that showed up after stamping is the "documents" section it gives details of the COPR like the document number and the expiry date of the visa. and also FYI visa will only be issues until medical expiry date even if its only 2 months away like in my case

no ecas does not send any notifications. you have to check it yourself often

Hello,

I applied for my husband's spousal sponsorship in July 2017 and our application is still in process. Our process started in London office on Aug 29, 2017.
On Aug 7, 2018, we received 2 emails, 1 for an updated IMM5669 form request and 1 pre-arrival email but background checks hasn't started yet and we don't have any other update yet. Any idea how long until my husband gets the visa?

Anyone else has the same outline here?

to add on to my previous thread....on September 19th, we got an email from CIC requesting an updated medical exam because it was expiring soon and my husband got it done on Sept. 27th, 2018 and the results are displaying on GCKEY website now (since Monday October 1st). Our background check is still in process.

Any idea how long this background check will take? I called the number provided in one of the threads and it is not giving me much information.

Should I wait until next week to send a message on webform for an update or should I do it now? This whole thing is taking a bit too long!!!!

Hi i am an october 17th applicant.
I got pre arrival letter at 28th july and on 30th july i received a letter requesting signed nikah nama which i provided the same day. After that there was complete silence so i sent them a query on 16th september asking about the status of my application. They replied today saying documentation has been received and application awaits review from immigration officer
My question is this review happens after pre arrival ? Is it normal ? Because to my understanding pre arrival letter is sent after eligibility is cleared ? Is there another review after pre arrival ?
