I posted this in general but didn't get any answers, wondering if anybody can help.

Hey all

I think we got some good news yesterday, I (PA) got an email yesterday from CIC saying final steps, a passport request.

1. I am from/live in the UK so am I right in thinking I do not require a VISA therefore only need to send copy of passport?

2. The next thing is it says where to send photos/passport copy and it shows the London office for me, also it says for people using MyCIC AND from a VISA exempt country can upload them online, I am using GCkey to track my application etc is that the same as MyCIC, or is that something?

If anybody can help at all, I would be very grateful

Congrats! Can you please share your timeline? I know that as a citizen of a visa exempt country you should only submit a copy of your passport, but I’m not sure about the rest, sorry.

Yes, mine was received June 28... nothing yet. Called and they have it in the system but no communications yet. Youre in the same boat as many of us.

PA from India and still residing there.
Timline:
June 15th Application received
2 Aug AOR
17 Aug SA Approval
21 Aug Medical
29 Aug email received regarding file transfered to CPC Mississauga
2 Oct Passport request

Wishing all June applicants good luck and those who already received many congratulations

Hi Everyone!

My ECAS shows that the medical request was sent on Sept. 25. That time my application had not been linked yet. GCKey shows status 'action required', but there are 0 messages. We have received no email with medical request. Email address they have on file must be correct as we got AOR1 and SA already. Called CiC and the consultant said that the email was sent on 25th to Sponsor so I asked to have it resend. She advised that they might have to resend it via regular post. Not sure how long it will take and if it won't get lost again.
Did you all got a Medical Request through an email?
Do you think I can have the medical done using the generic upfront form?

Hi everyone, I send my application to the wrong address, does any one knows what happens now

I was able to contact CIC and they have indeed confirmed that our application package was forwarded from Mississauga to Nova Scotia.

It was tagged delivered July 27th in Mississauga and was confirmed received in Nova Scotia on September 28th.

I just realized that from all June applicants that are in background check, I am the only one who didn't get medical request yet hahahahahah... hopefully it will come along this week
