I tried to call the CIC Sydney NS for the past few days several times and they would not even connect to anybody due to the standard excuse "high volume of calls"!! Does anyone know how does it matter that the Sponsor (permanent resident) be inside Canada to apply for spousal PR (Family class) and while processing, when all communication is through email? Can we travel outside Canada in between the entire process or before AOR1? Basically how do they know the sponsor is inside Canada and needs to be within the country?

I got update that file was transferred to NDVO on Aug 29, but no response from visa office.. it's been about 28 days..
I got update that medical results were received on Sept 6, but no response weather it passed.. it's been about 21 days..

Is this normal? when can I expect to receive further response?

That is odd... Did her bring something to the physician to perform the exams? Because I would assume that if you don't have the instructions/papers that the physician would not do the exams. She did her use a panel physician?

No she didnt bring any thing to physician she just went there and asked for medical for immigration and they did it. now when she went there and ask to do again they gave her copy of last exam and tell her to send that to immigration and told her to tell immigration to search it by UMI number and it should be ok. i sent them the paper and no reply yet i am worried if they gonna send back my file.

If ecas shows medical received then it means medical passed....on other hand on gckey u can see medical passed update ...if u hired representative..then u can listen ur gckey status by call automatic machine

I have just realized that the photographs submitted for my spouse are of the wrong dimensions.

Does someone know if I'll be asked to resubmit the photographs (mail/online) ? Or is the package returned for me to rectify it and resubmit ?

I just received another email stating that I am eligible to be a sponsor. eCAS shows that they started processing my application only 2 days ago. It was just lying there in the system all this time.

We got the email for medical yesterday, and a new UCI number has been assigned to the PA.

I think you should try to reach IRCC and explain what happened. I thought the Panel Physician would know that you should not do the exams upfront.
