Hello All,
I submitted my wife’s documents and it reached Sydney, NS on the 21st of June.
Can you please tell me what happened next and by when should I expect the case number for her?
Moreover, I live in Canada and she lives in India.

Four to eight weeks after the application being received, you should be receiving an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR1). Soon after (in no particular order), you should be getting a Sponsor Approval (SA) and Medical Exam Request (MR). The PA will be getting her UCI by this time as well. The next step will be AOR2, which is when the application is received by the local Visa Office (VO) and so on.

Would anyone who has received AOR1 mind sharing what their ECAS status says?

For my application to sponsor, I have:

1. We received your application to sponsor ***** on June 4, 2018.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on July 12, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on July 11, 2018.
4. We sent you correspondence on July 18, 2018 about the decision on your application.

But for my wife's permanent residence application, I only have:

1. We received *****'s application for permanent residence on June 4, 2018.

We still haven't received a medical request yet, so I'm worried that there might be a problem.

Make sure to check all folders of your email. Also helps to do a search for words like Canada, immigration in your inbox. Our medical request email was in the "Updates" folder of Gmail .

I already have uci so I used my uci, last name in capital letters, passport info, current marital status (not single as others have done) and number of applicants 2

July 18-started processing application
July 24-link application to GC account

Got DM on Sponsors ECAS but no SA.

I got Emile to send doc of pa to check his dob send all the docs on 18th July. It's been 10 days and no updation .. how long it's take to get update on stuff .. they got my app in may 8th

How do you know that it’s an SA? It only says Decision Made on sponsors ecas.

No SA email nor med request too.

Can you please tell me where did you send the file: Mississauga or Nova scotia? I sent to Mississauga on June 13 and waiting for AOR1.
