I called cic last week they said your application is in process as per notes on the file. But no updates until now

Mine was in process since June 16. No updates so far. I sponsored my wife in 2015. That could slow down my sponsorship eligibility verification.

I have not received any update from CIC regarding my application and nothing comes up on ECas search so far. Is there any alternate way to find out the application status ?

My application was received 9th may. No updates on ECAS! I cannot link my application either.

I am unable to link my moms sponsorship application to MyCIC account.IRCC requested form 5662 through email,How can I submit the documents to IRCC?Can I just attach the document to an email and send it back or is there any other way?

I've a feeling CIC may go for a second round of lottery.
They've stated on their website today:
"If we invite another round of potential sponsors, we’ll post the selected confirmation numbers at that time."

Good catch! Finger crossed for those potential eligible sponsors and applicants.
At the same time, it means the login process of the first round is almost done.
