It's very unpredictable. My advice to all of you is simply to stop expecting things and stop comparing your case to others as it really depends on every case and the officers handling it. There are several people with very straight forward cases that have exceeded the 12 months. It is better that you all anticipate the worst than best otherwise you'll be very disappointed/frustrated. At this point you all should pray not for the time but that they don't request documents or pfl concerns, interviews etc ..
I’m really confused about something. When does the 1 year of the application start from ?
I thought when you send your application to mississauga and they receive it ?
Or does the 1 year begin when the London visa office starts processing your application ?
My lawyer said the 1 year begins from the month when LVO begins processing the case
Actually, it is both true. The 12 month processing time listed on CIC website is an estimated time frame, and there isn't any guarantee that anyone's application will be finished in 12 months. Some get it done sooner, some get it done way over 12 months. And unfortunately, LVO is among the slowest VOs to process spouse cases for applicants from some of the countries. So, his lawyer is also right about the 12 months time frame from the day that LVO receives the application.

Yeah I understand what you say but when they say 12months it includes sponsor eligibility time period as well. As they also says that only 80% files are done in 12 months

this is what I got for my husband's file status today:
"Thank you for your e-mail. In response to your enquiry please be advised that additional review is required on the application and you/your spouse will be contacted within the next 3 months regarding any further requirements."
WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!! it's already on 12 months, and they are saying another 3 months!!! Bullshit in LVO
‘Within’ three months, right. So it’ll inshallah be sooner than 3 months. They just give a random time to be safe as they’re very busy and don’t want to give people too many hopes. But yeah it’s extremely tough to get that kind of response even after 12 months.
Best of luck.
I have a question from people who have been sending voluntary proof to LVO:
Do you use only webform to send or some other ways as well?
We used webform to send proof of my husband’s visit like 2 weeks ago.
