Thank you. Its Alberta, WES evaluation was unexpected thing, after this the LMIA process and Work permit process still a long way to go....

I was also looking for option like applying for TRV after getting LMIA from employer and can I get work permit directly @ Port of Immigration to avoid delay in work permit through online or paper submission.

My employer was saying hardly takes 40 days for me to be in canada from the day WES result comes. not sure how would he process LMIA and work permit in just 40 days.

Some people got their WES evaluation in a jiffy. We never know. All the best!

Thank you for your reply but i have used the wes equivalency tool previously but the BCS certificate is not listed..
I wish there was someone who has gotten an assessment with it..
My CRS score is at 407 and with an extra diploma, it will increase to 440 and once i reach 3yrs work experience, it increases to 465..
PLease i need helpp!!

Hi,

I have a B.A. English honors, obtained via correspondence, from School of open learning, Delhi University.

It's a 3-year degree, and has been accredited by WES as such. Its Canadian equivalency is 3-years bachelor’s degree.
Few questions -

a) Would this degree work for FSW express entry?

b) I read somewhere that one needs to show 17-19 hours of classes taken per week for such degree. Is this true?

Anything else that needs to be done differently for a correspondence degree?

My Timeline :

Paid my WES fee and sent my package on same day : May 25th 2018
Also simultaneously my MS transcript was sent out by university to WES on the same day from USA.
Documents received : May 28th 2018
Pending Evaluation in progress : May 29th 2018
1st status update Pending Evaluation in progress : May 31st 2018
2nd status update Pending Evaluation in progress : June 6th 2018
Now waiting for the third update to know due date!!

I got an update from WES, it says we are reviewing your evaluation report,
Your evaluation is due for completion on 7/9/2018
All documents were reviewed and accepted.

then date updated on 15th Jun 18. Still showing as webhv received ur doc. we are reviewng the same..

It takes time for final report ..in between u will get result as documents accepted...aftr that they will take 10 business days...or more to prepare report.......Remind them through mail or phone call...
