Oh, i thought the only concern is the number of ITAs to issue, like regardless if crs score is as low as 415 as long as they complete the target it won’t matter.., so they set a cut-off score and they wait until enough application gets in. Is that how it works? Sorry I got confused.
No wonder if I sound pessimist... IRCC is to blame... they made me act like one as they continue to surprise us with delayed rounds and strategizing to keep the cut off above 440...
what if, IRCC did not to get enough candidates these two weeks (say due to low scores in IELTS)... they may postpone the draw by additional one week???
There are lots of people still entering the pool who have had their scores for a while. Some may have been waiting on an ECA. Some might be native speakers who score well. Lots and lots and lots of factors, and the fact that it's been 3 weeks since the last general draw means that there will be even more candidates in the pool at high scores. So yes, while IRCC does have the discretion to postpone a draw for as long as they'd like, the chances of this happening are very small.

They don't say 415 CRS and 3500 invitations and wait for numbers to align. They say 3500 ITA's (or X ITA's), and in the ranking the top 3500 are the ones with for example 440 CRS or higher. So you'll have 3500 ITA's with a cut of 440.
